So, I am in the placenta business it is about time I write about one.
I have just finished up with a client who will be called Placenta Number Three. She is feeling healthy, her milk has come in and her postpartum bleeding has almost stopped 5 days after the birth of her sweet little girl.
Working on her placenta was different from the other two that I have been granted the opportunity to encapsulate. Her placenta bled well and the membranes separated from the placenta with ease. I felt that her placenta was willing and ready to help her transition into motherhood.
The placenta print (baby side of placenta placed onto acid free paper) was beautiful as all are and hers reminded me of a wide rooted tree, with a wide trunk you would need your whole family to place your arms around, sprawling wide reaching branches with moss that reached towards the earth. This was a strong, wide tree, that stood strong in its roots and provided elements of play amongst the strong branches, and hanging moss.
